Daydream In Aqua & Neon Yellow

The neon trend has been keeping its staying power and recently I’m loving the pairing of neon yellow with one of my all time faves – aqua. It’s a light hearted combo that has me daydreaming of sunny skies.

Nature Portland

{Color Palette} Crabby Mood

The Portland Aquarium opened last weekend and we went to pet the stingrays and sharks. I got A’s parents a membership for Christmas and I can’t wait for them to explore it too! I used to wander in awe at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and wished I could stay for hours and stare at the jellyfish. I thought this color palette was perfect in celebration for our first visit!

{Color Palette} Through Stained Glass

One of my favorite things when I visited Europe was stepping inside the beautiful churches. The way their walls oozed of history and the way the light shined through the stained glass. It was incredible. In this case, this installation was at Venice’s Biennale, a showcase of contemporary art. Aren’t the colors just wonderful?

PS: We’ve been busy moving into our first home! With unpacking, cleaning, and figuring out knobs and light switches, I’ve been a bit preoccupied! I’m now back to daily posts.

{Color Inspiration} Studio Boot’s IXXI Pattern Wall Tiles

I’m a big fan of graphic patterns with geometric shapes because they’re so simple and bold. I love the idea of making my own pattern on the wall with these wall tiles by Studio Boot from IXXI available in a pink and yellow set (€149 each). Each piece is printed with different colors on each side and it’s up to you to arrange them however you want. There are so many possibilities! They also do custom photos and mosaics that are also really fun! The squares would be perfect for instagram photos (follow me: daydreamincolor) !

Daydream In Lemons

I will always have a soft spot for lemons. It reminds me of summers growing up and the sweet tart smell of the sunshine warming the little golden globes as I picked them on my tippy toes to make more lemonade from our backyard trees. My cousin and I had a lemonade stand out front as my mom was frantically making more lemonade with honey to fill our quickly emptying pitchers. It was so much fun and nothing is more rewarding has a kid or even now as sitting back with an icy lemonade on a hot summer day. I thought I’d share these little moments through some fun finds.
