{Partnered Post} The Perfect Wedding Gift

Daydream-In-Color-Partnered-Post-Ernest-Jones-Wedding-Gifts

A couple of my cousins are engaged and I can’t wait to meet the new member of the family. Along with that though, I’m nervous about what to get them for their wedding gifts. I’m loving some of the classy things from Ernest Jones. You can even narrow it down by recipient! How lovely are those Vera Wang love knot napkin rings (£45) above?

Note: This post is written in partnership with Ernest Jones. All words and opinions are my own. Posts like these help us provide colorful inspiration to all you lovelies. Thanks for tuning in!

Feather Cape | Boutonniere ($16) | Tote Bag (£9) | Feather Collection Box via Happy Mundane | Feather Flower Arrangements by Flowerwild | Bow Bridal Fascinator ($200) | Gucci Runway Feather Ponytail | Feather Hands | Feathered Hat | Wing Light ($98) | Miss Wu Bella Feather Print Dress ($395) | Feather Faux Lashes ($20) | Quill Pen ($60)

I’ve been obsessed wtih feathers for as long as I can remember because my Chinese name is made up of the word feather. They’ve been “in” for a while now, but I still can’t get enough. The silky plumes exude luxury and girliness. Just love them in everything from flower arrangements to fashion. If you’re into that wing lamp, by the way, you might also enjoy this gilded wing post.

Are you a fan of feathers?

Daydream As A Ballerina

Tulle Skirt ($62) | Ballerina Wall Clock ($12) | Ballerina Tutu Necklace (€75) | Dance Slipper Socks ($12) | Ballet Flats ($160) | Christian Louboutin & English National Ballet Collab | Wooden Toy (€68.60) | Longchamp Ballet Bag | Ballet Inspired Wedding Shoot | Green Sequin Outfit from Ruche Lookbook

I took ballet when I was about 5-6. I remember having a Russian dance teacher that was has hard on us as she was tall and elegant. She would rubber band our feet together so that we wouldn’t forget our form when we stood in place. I would find my fellow dancemates at school recess to practice because we were so scared of our teacher! Being a short little kid (and adult), I should’ve known I really wouldn’t have a dance career as a ballerina, but I tried! I even wanted to change my name to Diana Ballerina (Diana being my bff cousin’s name). After seeing Ruche’s En Pointe lookbook, I was hooked again.  So now a couple of decades later, I still wish I had the elegance of a ballerina and I could wear tutus to work.

Did you ever take ballet?

I’m basically a hoarder. I change what about every few months, but hoard I do. When I lived in Los Angeles, I used to spend my weekends at Surfas hoarding sprinkles like they were going out of fashion. You think I’m kidding, but I’m not. Hoarding in bulk is kind of the worst. I have a cabinet full of every color for every occasion you could possibly imagine to prove it. Naturally, I think of sprinkles for every party, bake sale, and celebration. Let’s hoard daydream together!

Do you like sprinkles? What’s your favorite kind?

Scarfshop Scarf ($80) | MN&Co Yeah Notecards ($7) | Pendant Wedding Cake  | Macarons  | Pink & Yellow Door| Pink & Yellow Room | Glass Wing Butterfly Print ($30)

I’ve been loving the bright and pastel variations of this color combo lately. It reminds me of strawberry lemonade, flowers, and sherbet. I think they are definitely new colorblock pals!

Daydream In Light Blue & Tangerine

Girl On Plane By Steven Chee | Bird Dress | Nail Polish | Orange Flower Arrangements | Ombre Cake | Groomsmen | Bed With Quilt

Since my slow and steady infatuation with this color palette, I’ve been noticing this pretty pop of a pairing that is light blue and tangerine everywhere I looked. It makes me feel all summery and tropical and that’s just the color therapy I need with our recent lack of sunshine!

Do you like light blue paired with tangerine?

Daydream In Blush

Pink Heart Confetti (£4) | Miss Unkon Shorts from Need Supply ($90) | Wedding Dress Photo by Elizabeth Messina via The Bride’s Cafe | Burberry Brit Sheer Perfume ($62) | Pink Heart Wire Hook (£1) | Pink Cake Stand ($65) | Glitter Spike Headband ($28) | Lulu Guinness Perspex Lips Clutch ($426) | Ankle Socks ($3.50) | Pink Grapefruit Candle ($20) | Whistle Espadrille Wedges ($84)

There’s just something about the color blush that evokes images of fairy tales, ballerinas, and all the sweetness that are the ingredients for a girl. I’m loving these light hues and the new life they’re given by being mixed with bold hues like royal blue or red.

Daydream In Marble

You know I love me some pretty patterns and bright colors, so it shouldn’t be any shock to you how much I love seeing marble pop up all over. The fun part about marble is that is can totally make a bold statement or just add a bit of interest because it can be almost graphic in use or flowy and watercolor-esque. Being a pisces, I love it when patterns can go with the flow of the situation and need. Enjoy the finds below!

Daydream In Horses

Today’s post is an early birthday dedication to my dearest cousin D. We are the only two girl cousins on my mom’s side and so we’ve been really close since we were teeny tiny.

I remember beign in Kindergarten and we built every puzzle in their game closet ver a few days to fill a room and making tickets for our relatives to come to our puzzle museum.

If I were to have a sister, she would be her.

Although our family moved away when we were young, we’ve remained close while growing up. She was my very original pen pal. We’d mail each other long letters with little finds from our lives tucked inside. Somehow we’ve found love in food, arts, and crafts on our own, but we share our love for it together. I can always count on her for advice or to have a heart to heart and we both feel a bit lost without knowing the latest about the other.

She always had a thing for horses. I remember her horse painting hanging on the wall. I think her friends and I have really blown her love of them out of proportion because we always think of her when we come across them. I’ve always made it my goal to give her at least one horse related thing with her birthday gift each year, so it only seemed fitting to have a whole Daydream post devoted to these beautiful creatures.

After looking through this collection of things and pictures, I think I might be falling for them too…
