I remember when bright red lips were becoming trendy. I tried them out at the makeup counter and I thought I looked silly so I could never get into it. Since then, I’ve been dreaming about a day when I can pull them off. This photo is motivating. I think I need a trip to the makeup counter soon!

My morning tea is my ritual. The smell and warm cup in my hands is so calming. I think I may need to work this heart cup into the routine though especially for February.
Are you a coffee or tea drinker?
The Portland Aquarium opened last weekend and we went to pet the stingrays and sharks. I got A’s parents a membership for Christmas and I can’t wait for them to explore it too! I used to wander in awe at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and wished I could stay for hours and stare at the jellyfish. I thought this color palette was perfect in celebration for our first visit!

No color is more appropriate for Autumn and Halloween with its name. This deep hue is all the rage this season. I’m loving how it can be romantic and almost gothic, but also classy. It’s perfect paired with neutrals, leather, and metallics like the gold above.

I’d like to think of myself as an old soul, but A often tells me I’m more of a little girl at heart. Have you been watching the Summer Olympics? It’s amazing what those athletes are capable of. I’d love to hang out with friends, BBQ, and watch the games in this cute outfit! Of course, the outfits’s not complete without a “gold medal” of my own.
What’s your favorite Summer Olympics sport?
Over sized scarves have a permanent place in my daydream brain. Ever since my BFF brought me back a pretty blue one from Brazil during her travels a few years ago, I’ve used it as a shawl, a beach towel, a cover up, a picnic blanket, and even rolled up as an impromptu sack. So my mind wanders with ideas of fun whenever I see beautiful over sized scarves. These float away ones by Faliero Sarti at Maryam Nassir Zadeh just have me daydreaming in every which way.
