Last year A got me a beautiful pink and gold tulle wrapped box of macarons and flowers arranged in a milk glass vase for Valentine’s day. I’m excited to see what today has in store! I’m travelling from Portland to San Jose today to visit family for Christmas. I’m definitely wishing I had some of these fun items to take along with me even though it’s a short flight. There’s something so fun about the graphic pattern of scales. I used to doodle them all over my textbook covers. Today we’re daydreaming in them from quilts and pillows to dresses and earrings.

Since being in the new place, we experience a lot more wildlife than we did downtown. Just the other day we saw a woodpecker. Squirrels scamper about and it makes me so happy! Thinking about Thanksgiving and decor, I’ve been notcing these little furry cuties everywhere. I bought a little orange version offering an acorn just the other day at Coco & Toulouse Go Shopping. It just makes me smile. I thought I’d share the inspiration!

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors. The deep hue of eggplant sends me thinking of comforting eggplant parmesan and cozy faux fur stoles perfect for slipping over a cozy fall dress. I’m loving that it’s one of the hottest colors this Fall.

As you can tell from my website, black and white with pops of color are my fave. So, when I started noticing green paired with black and white stripes I couldn’t wait to share with you. It has a classy and even preppy feel to it that just draws me in.

My dad and brother always wanted a VW van when we were little. They’d talk about taking it on the road and us camping in the back. It was a little slice of Americana that we always dreamed about and never got a chance to do. I thought we could all do a little daydreaming together about what our dad’s may have always wanted and fun times with our families. Just in time for Father’s Day (June 17th)!
