I spotted Caleb Luke Lin‘s work in scarves over on Pikaland and I just had to share. Seriously, how unique and beautiful are these works of art? My collecting habit has me wanting them all.

{Wish I Was Wednesday} Lauren Hom’s Daily Dishonesty

Sometimes I just come across projects that are so clever. They make me smile and make me want to hoard and fill my home with them. Lauren Hom’s Daily Dishonesty project is just that. I can relate to each little lie and each of her versions are hand lettered so perfectly. Even though this makes me sound like a stalker, reading through her website makes me feel like she’s already by fake bff. She’s a lover of brunch, baking, and making things by hand. All things I love. It’s no wonder I love her work too! Check out her other links below.

When I saw the work of Stasia Burrington on The Jealous Curator, I had to share. I’m such a sucker for anything floral and these beautiful patterns cut from quilt fabric and assembled to represent tattoos are just killing it! I need some of these for my closet.

Are you a fan?

I love sneak peeks into people’s home to get a better understanding of how a person lives. For girls, what they stash in their purse is even more of an indicator of how they are and what they value. I love these “What’s In My Bag” illustrations by Kristina Hultkrantz because girls are bound to relate to one of these iconic female figures. If not, she does custom “What’s In My Bag” illustrations as well. Wouldn’t this be so chic propped up against your vanity mirror?

What’s in your bag? Which icon do you relate to most?

{Wish I Was Wednesday} Katie Vernon of Chipmunk Cheeks

Illustrations by Katie Vernon and the combination of her florals and animals just hit my weak spot! I’ve always been one of those people that doodled since I was a kid, but 20 years later and my skills are still pretty much the same. Katie’s drawings make me go “aww” and “ooh, pretty!” at the same time and that doesn’t happen often.

{Color Inspiration} Catalina Estrada Wallpaper Collection

I grew up in a house that had a few wallpapered rooms. Our dining room had cream stripes and another had blue borders. The more I look at the latest wallpaper offerings, it’s hard not to imagine filling each of the rooms in my future home with a unique print. These new ones from Catalina Estrada via My Owl Barn are really not helping the situation. I love each one more than the next. They can be found on Bloom Papers and Coordonné.

{Wish I Was Wednesday} Malika Favre

Any artist that can take you to another place (especially fun) is a favorite in my book. I saw one of her prints on B For Bonnie’s blog and I fell in love. Then, when I went to her website and I saw an adorable picture of a mouth and beauty mark (just like mine) that flashed “me” right on the front page and as the favicon. Totally hooked. Her simple lines. Her use of colors. Simply perfection. I couldn’t resist getting one of her prints.

{Wish I Was Wednesday} Lim Siang Ching of Pattern Matters

From the moment I saw these beauties, I couldn’t get them out of my head. The fact that they’re made from paper, the movement, the bright patterns, the thought of moving the gear/tab/what-not each day. It just appeals to my every sense (minus taste though they do remind me of candy)! These are the product of Pattern Matters founded by Singapore-based graphic designer and illustrator Lim Siang Ching.

Pattern Matters is a graphic design-based project inquiring on possible ways to augment the role of pattern by looking into the design process and tactile exploration through pattern making. It demonstrates the way of how this design element of pattern can be adopted differently on various platforms in graphic design. The main objective of this project is to inspire designers to look at pattern in every possible angles. Pattern Matters also aims to demonstrate that pattern is a crucial form of design element in graphic design which eventually evident that pattern is not merely a decorating tool.

I love their vision and approach. They also show the process of making each of their pieces. It definitely takes a lot of time and patience. I’m excited to see more of their work in the future! I’m sure they will pretty much all land in my {Color Inspiration} posts at some point.
