Speechless. That’s pretty much my reaction to this incredibly beautiful series by Paul Lange called Big Blooms. I love focusing on one big bloom and since each is so different, it was so hard for me to pick a few favorites to show you. You must see the rest!

{Lust List} Modern Day Flower Girl

Daydream-In-Color-Lust-List-Flower-Girl

All that’s needed for a modern day flower girl is a playful floral dress (€132), a colorful basket purse ($198), and some lovely blooms that last forever ($16). I’m loving this hand drawn pattern on this hand made dress by La Casita De Wendy. The other things in her shop are also lovely like this cute raffia bag & cookie bag (check out the behind the scenes for her bag collection here)!

We’re off work today enjoying the sunny weather (& picking up some furniture). We’ll also be headed this cooking demo tonight with Seattle’s Tom Douglas. Should be fun!

Do you have plans for this weekend?

{Lust List} Smell The Roses

Daydream-In-Color-Lust-List-Smell-The-Roses

With Spring in full swing, I’ve been looking through plant and flower catalogs to find a way to personalize our yard. One thing I’m really excited about is introducing fragrant flowers. Since I’m often indecisive, I’ll have to opt for these lovely Diptyque candles (£40-55) in perfect floral scents from www.urbanretreat.co.uk until I decide. On the plus side, these can be enjoyed while relaxing inside since our Springs here are quite rainy.

Which fragrance is your favorite?

Yesterday was Spring Equinox and also the start of the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. How I’d love to see all the pink blossoms that dot the city. Instead, I’ll be daydreaming in delicate flower crowns, pretty rings, and a spritz of cherry blossom perfume. By the way, how good do those cherry blossom dark chocolates filled with cherry almond liquid caramel look! I also found these adorable cherry blossom sticky notes. Come back tomorrow for a free cherry blossom notecard to print out and celebrate Spring!

When I saw the work of Stasia Burrington on The Jealous Curator, I had to share. I’m such a sucker for anything floral and these beautiful patterns cut from quilt fabric and assembled to represent tattoos are just killing it! I need some of these for my closet.

DIY on A Subtle Revelry

Since watching Moonrise Kingdom, A and I have been talking about converting our secret attic room into a cute “tent.” This beautiful inspiration on A Subtle Revelry had me lusting after a sweet and feminine version. I’m extra loving those stars & giant flowers.

Do you have an attic room? What have you done with it?
