This may seem like a totally random thing to daydream about, but A and I just decided on a theme for the powder room last week. Snow white. We were inspired by our recent addiction to the show Once Upon A Time and the mayor/evil queen’s office. Since our decision, A and I chose a glossy espresso stain for the cabinets. My best friend visited Sunday and with her motivation, we started staining (it’s our first project and I was/am super nervous!). It’s been a slow process because of the drying between coats, but we’re loving how it’s coming along. Just three more coats on the cabinet door fronts! It’s definitely a lot more modern. We started searching for the perfect tree/birch wallpaper (there are lots), and suddenly I started noticing birch and its pretty snow white branches everywhere. I wanted to share with you because it’s perfect for white and woodsy holiday decor too.

My favorite thing to wrap my paws around when the air starts cooling down is hot chocolate. There is something so comforting about it. Topped with a few marshmallows and this adorable pastel chocolate cup ($17) and I’d be golden!

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors. The deep hue of eggplant sends me thinking of comforting eggplant parmesan and cozy faux fur stoles perfect for slipping over a cozy fall dress. I’m loving that it’s one of the hottest colors this Fall.

A while back, A asked me what the dealio was with numbers. We go to a lot of vintage fairs that paint/screenprint numbers onto burlap, chairs, and what not. As much as I don’t want to admit the arrival of Fall (I’m big on summer and sunshine), it’s here with its crisper air and changing of the leaves. I’m so excited to fill my new home with leaf goodies and cinnamon aromas to make the place cozy even if it will be filled with unopened boxes for a while.
