Daydream In Hot Pink

Although I don’t claim pink as my favorite color, I can’t resist its girly charm. Hot pink has my heart lately (neon pink and blush still has a piece of it too). As we’re trying to figure out color palettes for the house, pops of pink are never far from my mind (much to the chagrin of A).

I love herbs. They seriously make or break a dish. I’m always buying bunches of parsley, cilantro, and basil. What I can’t finish cooking with, I give to my bunny Jake. He LOVES them. Today I’m lusting after that goodies for that powerful flavor punch! I’m loving all the produce bags by Harvest Haverswack. By the way, do you remember Herbal Essence shampoo/conditioner? I used to love that stuff.

DIY Paper Party Patterns

{Freebie Friday} Heart Flat Paper Bags

February 8, 2013 – 6:30 am

I love giving treats on Valentine’s Day because it gives me an excuse to use pink and red sparkly sugars. These little heart treat bags would be perfect for packaging up some sweet goodies to give out.

Supplies:

Template
Paper (plain copy or colored)
Printer
Scissors
Adhesive
Sticker or washi tape to seal the bag

Directions:

Click on desired template to open.
Print on copy or colored paper.
Cut along solid lines.
Fold along dotted lines.
Glue in grayed out area and press side flap together to adhere.
Glue bottom flap and fold up to adhere.
Fill with goodies & use a sticker or washi tape to seal!

Daydream In Feathers

I’ve been obsessed wtih feathers for as long as I can remember because my Chinese name is made up of the word feather. They’ve been “in” for a while now, but I still can’t get enough. {Collecting Rainbows} One Trip Grip Handles

November 24, 2012 – 9:00 am

I’ve been slowly trying to get used to cooking more now that I actually have room to groove. I’ve also been trying to catch tips on saving money on groceries since there are some projects around the house I want to save up for. One tip I’ve heard is making just one trip to the supermarket a month. This cuts down on impulse buys and buying without planning. I love being efficient (industrial engineer in me) so these one trip grip handles ($5) would come in super handy for bringing in all my reusable bags from my trunk to the kitchen. These will also be extra handy if you’re a Black Friday shopper!
