Daydream-In-Color-Loved-And-Noted-Make-A-Kite-Wood-Flower-Drink-Stirrers-Hello-Sunshine-Snack

I want to start a new series called {Loved & Noted} that displays inspiration from creatives and fellow bloggers from all over. These are a few things catching my eye lately. This cute printable kite, a yummy and healthy hello sunshine snack, and this simple DIY sola flower stirrer by Confetti Pop perfect for spring (buy wood sola flowers here $5/18). It’s been in the mid-80s up in the Pacific Northwest and I’m loving all these bright fun colors!

{Lust List} Entertaining In Color Part Two

Daydream-In-Color-Lust-List-Entertaining-In-Color-Part-Two

Linens By The Roll ($22-42) | Rainbow Nesting Mixing Bowls ($65) | Over The Rainbow Cupcake Liners ($9) | Rainbow Paper Straws ($3.52) | Retro Polka Dot Coasters ($23/4)

I’ve long been fascinated by these linens on a roll, but now that warmer weather may be around the corner, I’m figuring out what colors to choose. I have a set of these Zak bowls and I love how lightweight they are. Pouring flour into the mixer is no big feat as it is sometimes with glass or porcelain. The other goodies can be bought and pulled out one color at a time if rainbow isn’t your thing!

Read Entertaining In Color (part one) here.

What color of the rainbow would you choose?

{Wish I Was Wednesday} Paul Lange’s Big Blooms

Speechless. That’s pretty much my reaction to this incredibly beautiful series by Paul Lange called Big Blooms. I love focusing on one big bloom and since each is so different, it was so hard for me to pick a few favorites to show you. You must see the rest!

{Color Palette} Disco Ball Dance

I never really thought much about disco balls, but now when I see them in the most uncommon places I want like 20 just hanging from the ceiling or to stand on in this case. The sparkle catching globes just scream fun! Now where can I inconspicuously sneak some into the house. Maybe the “music” room?

Are you a fan of disco balls?

{Partnered Post} Spring In The Air

Daydream-In-Color-Partnered-Post-Spring-In-The-Air

I recently treated myself to some diptyque candles and I finally get why people are so obsessed. The delicious smell of flowers started when I was trying to open the mailing package. It’s been perfuming my vanity table area ever since. Plus, its pretty and distinct label makes me smile every time I look over. I can’t wait to try more.

{Partnered Post} Luxury accessories you know you wish you had (…or could afford)

Note: This post is provided by a Daydream In Color partner. Posts like these help us provide colorful inspiration to all you lovelies. Thanks for tuning in!

For those lucky enough to be filthy rich, there are constantly new opportunities to treat themselves with extravagant and luxury goods. You can see it in celebrity magazines – from lavish properties to flash cars to paradisiacal vacations – the super-rich are always finding enviable ways to indulge. Fashion and beauty also provides numerous opportunities to spend in excess. Here are just a few luxury accessories that every women wish she had.

Watches and jewelry

It’s no secret that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, so for socialites and those with bottomless disposable incomes, spectacular pieces are accessible for the right price. Breath-taking and incredible pieces can be found at ridiculous prices at top luxury jewelers like Harry Winston, Chopard and Bulgari. Watches are also a way for displaying how much money you have, with the most expensive luxury watches reaching the half million mark. For those tempted, you can always take a look at on Chrono24 to see if you can find yourself your own designer watch.

Shoes

Shoes are without a doubt a weakness of most women. Like the Imelda Marcoses in the world with a limitless budget on spending money, most women would happily collect hundreds and hundreds of pairs. The most desired, however not so affordable brands include Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and then Christian Louboutin. Having a pair of one or all of these designers is the ultimate dream for any shoe addict.

Handbags

Another weakness of many is handbags. Really, you can never have too many handbags, can you? The sought after designer handbag over the past few years has to be the Birkin Bag by Hermes. Despite the price of the Birkin ranging between $9,000 to $150,000, the bag repeatedly sold out of its limited quantities. It was even reported that the handbag longest waiting list in history at 36 years long. The scarcity and exclusivity only further fuelled demand. Other sought after handbags include timeless pieces from Chanel, Chloe and Prada – just to name a small few.

{Taste} Beaverton, OR: Honey Toast Cafe

Daydream-In-Color-Taste-Honey-Toast-Cafe

In the Bay Area, I had lots and lots of Taiwanese style cafes to choose from. Each with their little specialties. But in Oregon, I don’t really have that little luxury anymore. So, when I found out a new choice opened relatively nearby, I had to test out the waters. Honey Toast Cafe has little savory Asian snacks like salt and pepper chicken, fried tofu, sandwich-bobs, and the like along with the usual boba teas and coffees. Their namesake dessert though are honey toasts. They are a hollowed out sweet Asian breaf loaf that is sprinkled in sugar and charred on the inside. The bread from the cavity is then cut into little soldier sticks that undergo the same treatment and layered back in with honey pastry cream, ice cream, fruit, and even macarons of your flavor choice. We’ve tried the strawberry, honey classic, and deluxe versions. The classic and deluxe are our faves. The faint honey taste in every bite totally makes my mouth happy and I love the almost creme brulee taste with every toasty stick. I’ve already started taking my visiting friends there and though the size is really overwhelming, it’s a fun shareable dessert that everyone can’t stop eating. Plus, it’s open late for an after dinner stop in.

{Lust List} Modern Day Flower Girl

Daydream-In-Color-Lust-List-Flower-Girl

All that’s needed for a modern day flower girl is a playful floral dress (€132), a colorful basket purse ($198), and some lovely blooms that last forever ($16). I’m loving this hand drawn pattern on this hand made dress by La Casita De Wendy. The other things in her shop are also lovely like this cute raffia bag & cookie bag (check out the behind the scenes for her bag collection here)!

We’re off work today enjoying the sunny weather (& picking up some furniture). We’ll also be headed this cooking demo tonight with Seattle’s Tom Douglas. Should be fun!

Do you have plans for this weekend?

Daydream In Hot Pink

Daydream-In-Color-Daydream-In-Hot-Pink

Neon Leather Journal ($14) | Tropic Nights Chandelier Earrings ($28) | Cateye Reading Glasses ($38) | Budding Neon Necklace ($58) | Lace & Chiffon Dress ($128) | Diane von Furstenberg Lips Wristlet ($95) | Donald J Pliner Molly Pump ($228)

Although I don’t claim pink as my favorite color, I can’t resist its girly charm. Hot pink has my heart lately (neon pink and blush still has a piece of it too). As we’re trying to figure out color palettes for the house, pops of pink are never far from my mind (much to the chagrin of A).

What shade of pink is catching your eye lately?
