{Taste} Portland: Marco’s Cafe

Multnomah Village is this cute little area near where I live in Portland. It’s a step back in time. People are friendly and the little shops are fun to browse and find the perfect gift. Sometimes we end up here for brunch. One of the most popular places is Marco’s Cafe. There’s usually a line out the door. I’ll be honest, it’s not the best brunch I’ve had, but it’s one of our staples because it’s always solid, it has a vast menu, and it’s always leisurely and comforting.

We always start with espresso drinks here. A gets The Boss’s Favorite & it’s the Debbie Diva Pompadour for me. We’ve tried lots of things over our visits and everything is solid. From the eggs benedicts, pear pecan waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and corned beef hash. All yummy. I’ve also yet to try their displayed desserts. Their signature thing? All the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Nothing better to brighten any rainy day.
