Daydream in Color{Freebie Friday} Colorful Reminders

Have you seen photos from Erin Hanson‘s Reminders project? I recently spotted it on The Jealous Curator and I couldn’t resist smiling. I’m SO that dorky girl that will leave notes to myself taped to the mirror, my phone, my lunch, and my seat at work to remind me to do things. I remember when I used to travel every week for work, I wrote myself “Get Gas” notes on my steering wheel as I parked in long term parking because I would be so out of it when I got off the plane, I would never remember and try to drive home with the light on.

Her tag line for the project is “Childish treatment for childish behavior” & it is totally just that! It’s like your mom in signage form!

Aren’t they just awesome? Her other work is equally cool!

So, I thought it’d be fun to make some personalized reminders of my own and I’ve made alphabets in a bunch of colors for you to print out and cut to form your own messages to yourself, spouse, or kids! These would be great strung up with yarn/ribbon/string for banners too. See below:

Supplies:

Template
Paper, colored or white
Scissors and/or exacto knife
Adhesive (tape, double stick tape)

Directions:

Click the color you want to open.
Print.
Cut the letters out with scissors or an exacto knife.
Stick them up with rolled up or double sided tape for all sorts of reminding fun!

Note: Make sure to test the surface with your adhesive before sticking up the letters in case the paint/surface may peel.
