Speechless. That’s pretty much my reaction to this incredibly beautiful series by Paul Lange called Big Blooms. I love focusing on one big bloom and since each is so different, it was so hard for me to pick a few favorites to show you. You must see the rest!

Austrian based photographer Ákos Major’s beautiful waterscapes have me wishing I was elsewhere. In fact, it’s my guy bestie’s birthday today so I wish I was in the Bay Area celebrating with him! I hope he has as relaxing and lovely a birthday as these waterscapes.

There is a group of girls in Portland that we run into from time to time that call themselves cupcakes. They dress in really fancy Japanese anime/tea party style and go to events in a group. We spotted them once at ChocolateFest and another time at this bakery/cafe in Sellwood that’s done up a la Candyland. These are definitely some stocking I imagine they would go gaga for!

A little known fact about A & I is that we collect film cameras. In fact, with the new house, we’ve dedicated a room to our love of them. We’ve been spending the past month unpacking boxes to sort them into rangefinders, SLRs, toys, subminiature, and more. We just love the excitement of loading a fresh roll of film and getting photos back from the developers. These beautiful and nostalgic photos by Nicole Odemann are exactly what we dream of achieving when we go out shooting on the weekends. Check out her Flickr & portfolio too.

I love it when artists mix textures and styles into their own unique work of art. Jose Ignacio Romussi Murphy has done just that with photos by Rocio Aguirre. Plus, I love the little phrases he uses like “Life is beautiful” and “Art cannot be criticized because every mistake is a new creation.”

I seriously can’t believe it’s almost the ides of March. Creamy yellow daffodils have sprung up in our front yard and Spring is a knockin’. Plant and gardening catalogs have me dreaming of what colors I could make my backyard. Right now I’m stuck on the beautifully brilliant shade of pink in this lovely photo.
